You probably have already heard about Aspartame, and one does a little search on the web about it, there is a lot of information about it, various speculations and research findings.
In this article, however, we want to discuss the safety of Aspartame, as people are being told all the time that aspartame is safe and that our doctors and medical experts would surely inform us if the opposite has been found.
However, it appears that all that you’ve been told about the safety of Aspartame are bunch of lies and the reason for that is clearly obvious – profits.
It was the company G.D. Searle that invented Aspartame, but it could not get an approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, as monkeys and mice involved in their experiments developed brain lesions, tumors, seizures, and even died.
The company was persistent to show that Aspartame was safe, although they were constantly denied for sixteen years!
Later, the Food and Drug Administration demanded that the Justice Department prosecutes this company for submitting false test data with the aim to get an approval on Aspartame.
A senior toxicologist at the Food and Drug Administration, told the U.S. Congress that aspartame undoubtedly causes brain tumors.
Furthermore, the National Soft Drink Association objected Aspartame to be included in soft drinks as it is highly unstable in liquid form and breaks down into dangerous chemicals such as formaldehyde.
In 1985, Monsanto bought the G.D. Searle company and so the Aspartame maker functioned as a part of the corporation until 2000, when Monsanto sold it.
During this period, the FDA found 92 symptoms associated with the use of aspartame, such as deafness, weight gain, blindness, dizziness, nausea, and even death.
The sad thing about all this is that aspartame is still being used!
The Aspartame Resource Center states that this dangerous chemical is found in more than 6,000 products across the whole world.
The sad truth is that the Center is actually a PR device of Ajinomoto, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of aspartame, while the other is the G.D. Searle company.
Their website includes data on the safety of aspartame, and even has a section named “Meet the doctors,” which has a list of their so-called medical advisory board.
In this section the Center claims that its medical advisory board was created to guide the Center’s communications with health professionals and the public about the benefits of aspartame, its safety, and role in a healthy diet.
Can you even believe this?!
The Aspartame Resource Center says that it is enough to look at the list of ingredients you should find out if a product contains aspartame, as the FDA demands that aspartame is labeled.
However, keep in mind that even if aspartame is not listed, but you see phenylalanine on the list of ingredients, that product does contain aspartame, as aspartame is a component of phenylalanine.
Still, we must be cautious, as aspartame can be found in products you would not expect, such as like liquid antibiotics or even vitamins.
In fact, it’s the only way to prevent this deadly chemical from getting into your body and avoid its dangerous side-effects.
